Bor town authorities have agreed to issue hard currencies to traders who will in-turn purchase goods for Jonglei state.

Bor town Mayor Nhial Majak Nhial told Eye Radio that they are giving dollars to only traders who are willing to import goods and sell them in the state.

“So for instance, if you have 50,000 pounds and you want to invest or you want to bring some goods to Bor or the state, then you can get exchange for dollars,” he said.

Mr. Nhial Majak said some traders have set up makeshift shops in Bor town.

He said people are beginning to return to the town.
