The Mayor of Bor Town in Jonglei State says eight bodies were found floating on the River Nile last evening.

Nhial Majak says the bodies were identified to be of business-men who left for Terekeka a few days ago.

He told Eye Radio that some of the bodies were found tied and had gunshot and knife wounds.

“We lost 8 people from the same boat. We have security information that we are still working on that these people left Terekeka and were apprehended in Terekeka area by criminals or by whoever, and the boat driver was also killed.” He said.

Majak says an investigation is being carried out to establish the cause of the deaths.
