Authorities of JubaTown Payam have ordered Boda- Boda riders not park their motorcycles in front of banks or forex bureaus.

The Director of Juba Town Payam, John Kenyi Loku said the order is to safe guard the people making transactions at the banks.

“There are a lot of problems that usually occur in front of banks. People used to go and withdraw their money and in just a short distant you will find that this man or woman is robbed by the Boda- Boda people,” he said.  Not the Boda- Boda alone but even the car owners .So this of course we have issued this order to minimize crimes in Juba Town and this is for safety of our people.”

The Chairperson of Boda-Boda Association, Abraham Jok said his association will ensure the order is implemented by the Boda- Boda riders.

“I don’t oppose anything that can calm down the security. I am aware that Boda- Boda are supposed to stop just immediately next to the bank or next to the forex bureaus, simply because there are Boda- Boda riders who are really doing the real business of Boda- Boda but there some people with wrong hearts who entered into the business of Boda- Boda for sake of robbing and killing people,” he said. “If the order is given it will help and reduced the rate of crimes around the banks.”

Juba Town Payam authorities have urged all Boda- Boda riders not to ignore this order.

If they do, officials will use force to make them vacate the premises.
