Laliga leaders Barcelona won over harsh rivals Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia on Sunday to claim the first trophy for Xavi as manager.

The Catalans dominated the match that saw 18-year-old Gavi scored first, before assisting Robert Lewandowski.

Pedri then scored the third goal assisted by Gavi before Karim Benzema netted the only goal for Real Madrid in the 90s minute.

Benzema’s goal was seen to be a consolation, but Thibaut Courtois made several heroic saves that prevented Barcelona from embarrassing Carlos Arcelotti’s men in an El Clasico.

Gavi put on a show after scoring and assisting twice to surpass Xavi’s record as the youngest scorer in a Spanish Super Cup.
