The SPLA says it will interrogate and free ten members of the SPLM in Opposition who were captured in Upper Nile State over the weekend.

The soldiers, who were captured during a clash in Manyo County, were brought to Juba yesterday.

Army spokesman Col Philip Aguer says they are currently being held as prisoners of war.

“They will be interrogated and after interrogation, definitely they will be set free because [as far] the policy of the SPLA, the prisoners of war are released after investigation,” Col Aguer said.

“They will be free to go where ever they want to go.”

He added that the situation in Upper Nile has been calm this week.
