Army foils an attack on a town in Amadi state

Amadi State Minister of Information says the army repulsed an attack on Kediba town on Sunday night.

Victor Muburuk says an armed group charged into the town, but were immediately pushed back by government soldiers. He said an anti-government group was behind the incident. He said no casualty reported.

Mr Muburuk told Eye Radio that the generally situation in the state is calm.

In a separate development, Mr. Muburuk said the health sector has received a new consignment of drugs from national government. He said the medicines would be distributed to all the centers to reduce shortages.
