A  Sudanese-American artist is in Juba to train South Sudanese on how to preach peace through painting.

Professor Khalid Kodi says fine artists will express their fears and dreams for peace in the country at a four-day workshop that has started today in Nyakuron Cultural Center.

Prof Kodi told Eye Radio that 20 artists from all the regions of the country are participating at the training.

“Personally, I have been using arts as a means of peaceful coexistence and problems solving,” Prof Kodi shared his experiences.

“I will be working with them; training them but also I will be cooperating with them in one large painting at least. We might do some outreach projects,” he added.

Prof. Kodi says he will also be conducting outreach projects for peace.

These include producing one large painting that could demonstrate justice and co-existence.
