Five people have been killed and eight others wounded in communal clashes in Torit East County, Imatong, an official has said.

The county commissioner, Lima Albino, says the incident took place on Thursday morning. The cause of the fighting is unclear.

He told Eye Radio that youth from both communities have identified those involved in the fighting.

He called on the youth to cooperate with security forces to track down the attackers.
