3 Children burnt alive in Guit Attack

Four people have been confirmed dead, and one other person sustained serious wounds in an attack on a village in Guit County in Unity state.

The deceased include; three children who were burned alive inside their house during the attack in Magak village.

Eleven homes were also set ablaze and more than 250 cattle and goats were also killed during the attack.

An eyewitness said that the attackers were dressed in military uniforms and carried AK-47s and other weapons.

Police officials also say they recovered military bullets at the scene.

Guit County Commissioner James Pui Yak said the crime was in apparent retaliation for an attack on Pariang County earlier this week where two people were killed.
