The appointment of all-male governors of the 28 states is a great disappointment, a civil society group has said.

Women have not been represented in the gubernatorial appointments.

The executive director of Community Empowerment and Progress Organization, Edmond Yakani, argues that 7 of the 28 governors should have been females.

The transitional constitution of 2011 encourages women representation at all levels of government.
