Wau: Police detains 11 ‘niggas’ in connection with rape cases

11 suspects have been arrested in connection with the increasing number of rape cases in the state, Authorities in Western Bahr El Ghazal have said.

Last week, a woman and a girl were raped by a group of men in Wau town.

The Police Commissioner in the state, Major General Abraham Manyuat, told Eye Radio’s Dawn program this morning that the two victims died of their injuries after the rape.

“These incidents were committed by youth called niggas and in both incidents, the state police and especially the investigation department were able to arrest the suspects or the Niggers,” Mr

“They have confessed having committed this crime.”

Major Abraham says the police force will activate community policing to reduce rape in the state.

He urged parents, religious leaders and the community to report cases of rape and cooperate with the police to arrest the suspects.
