Uganda Cranes, the national football team of Uganda, have arrived in Juba for their first league clash with

Bright Stars tomorrow.

The Championship of African Nations is a tournament played by locally based players who play in their countries’ local leagues.

A total of 25 members comprising 18 players and 7 officials touched down at Juba airport at 12:30pm in high spirit for the game.

The aggregate winner will face either Tanzania or Rwanda for a ticket to the 2018 CHAN finals in Kenya.

Uganda has played at three different CHAN final tournaments since 2011 only missing out in the 2009 edition, reported Kawowo Sports.

The Cranes played in Sudan (2011), South Africa (2014) and Rwanda (2016) in the tournament only played by players who ply their trade in the respective home countries.

However, the Uganda Cranes have never progressed past the group stages in the three different editions played in.

The return leg is expected to take place a week later in Kampala.
