Author : | Published: Friday, May 3, 2013

The South Sudan Army has condemned the killing of 11 Sudanese traders in Renk County in Upper Nile last Tuesday by armed men believed to be from Sudan. Both Sudan and South Sudan are planning to reopen border trade between the two countries.

The SPLA spokes person Colonel Philip Aguer told Eye Radio that this sort of attack is new. He added that this incident will not affect the relations between the two states. 11 bodies were brought to Renk where they are in a mortuary. The army passed on their condolences to the families of the 11 deceased and are waiting to find if they want their bodies returned to Sudan.
