South Sudanese in Egypt pray for South Sudan

South Sudanese in Egypt held public prayers over the weekend in Cairo for peace and unity in South Sudan.

They held the service in All Saints’ Cathedral Church and was attended by several members of South Sudanese community there, including diplomats.

The Ambassador in Cairo, Anthony Kon, said it’s time for peace, tolerance, and development in South Sudan.

“The people have to know that the time of war has already passed and now it’s a time for peace and people should work together,” Amb Kon said, “people should forgive each other and try to focus now on the development.”

The pastor of Saint John Church in Cairo, Emmanuel Sapana, urges all South Sudanese in the country and in diaspora to work together for stability of South Sudan.

The prayers were dedicated to the church, people with special needs, the wounded and the parties to the implementation of the peace agreement.
