South Sudan is joining the rest of the world today in marking the International Women’s Day.

The event is marked on March 8 every year to create awareness about women’s positive roles in society and sensitize people about gender equity and equality.

In juba, the event marking the day will be held at Nyakuron Cultural Center later this morning.

This year, the day is being marked under the theme: “Be bold for change”.
