‘Scholarly troubles’ in India

The South Sudanese Ambassador to India says he has asked the Guru Nanak Institution to be patient on the payment of tuition fees of South Sudanese students who are under scholarship.

Some of the students under a sponsorship of the former Central Equatoria had stopped going to classes over delay to pay their school fees.

They said the delay stressed them because of lack of assurances they would be able complete their studies.

The 75 students were notified last month that they would be dismissed if their state governments failed to clear their fees.
