The South Sudan Premier League will kick off on the 5th of October 2018, South Sudan Football Association has said.
The football body says this will allow the federation to get a champion who will then represent the nation in the CAF champion’s league.
Last year, South Sudan was represented by Al- Salaam FC after Hilal FC failed to honor their Champions and confederation fittings due to lack of funds.
It’s not yet clear whether the federation will beat the 15th October deadline for submitting the names of the respective champions to CAF, with the new rules.
This was agreed during a Board of Directors meeting chaired by the President of South Sudan Football Association, Amin Francis this week on Tuesday.
In the same meeting, the Board of Directors also summoned the technical team for the national football team to explain the challenges faced, which led to the poor performance during the match against Mali on Sunday.
The board also selected a delegation to conduct the election for the Torit local football, headed by Mr. Abo Algasem Allah Jabu, who will oversee the process.
