Author : | Published: Tuesday, June 14, 2016

A cargo plane has crashed at the Bor airstrip in Jonglei State.

All the crew members are safe.

Our reporter Jacob Achiek was at the site of the crash and saw the wreckage.

“According to the statement from the manager of Bor airport, the left gear was not functioning. When the crew tried to adjust it, the plane immediately turned to the left side and crashed,” he reported.

The plane was on transit to Malakal.

The members of the crew – two pilots and an engineer – are expected to be flown to Juba for medical checkup.
