An eyewitness says a bus travelling to Kampala, belonging to the Eco Bus Company, was shot at by assailants this morning along the Juba-Nimule highway.

Buro Okello Obo, who was travelling this morning, says several passengers are feared dead following the attack.

“There are some people who got injured, others killed and we do not know how many people died,” Mr Obo told Eye Radio from the scene.

“But I could see there was presence of military patrol all over the highway.”

Efforts to reach ECO Bus Company as well as the police for comment were not immediately successful.

Other witnesses say a total of three buses were attacked along the road this morning.
