The National Platform for Peace and Reconciliation has warned that many people will died if the war continues into the dry season.

The Chairperson for the National Platform for Peace and Reconciliation, the Arch Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan Daniel Deng Bul said the war has to be stop before the dry season.

The Arch Bishop was addressing the gathering yesterday during the celebration of the International Day for Peace in Nyakuron Cultural Center.

“We want this war to stop now; we don’t want it to reach the dry season when many of our people will be slaughter again”, Arch Bishop Bul said.

Arch Bishop Bul urged the IGAD and the International Community to intervene and stop the fighting.

“I am appealing to IGAD, to the International Community and the Troika, that we want you to help us to stop the war today, because we are afraid of the future each party is preparing for the dry season and if we don’t stop the war now, we are going loose our innocent people who are not part of these crisis” he said.

He called upon all the people of South Sudan to unite in order to realize peace in the nation.
