Author : | Published: Friday, August 4, 2017

A father of an 8 month old baby who was separated from its mother during the attack on buses along the Nimule-Juba road is appealing for information from any passenger or public on the whereabouts of the little girl.

Early this week, buses coming to Juba were attacked by armed men and most of the passengers were killed, wounded and others ran in disarray into the bushes.

During the attack, the mother, out of confusion, was separated from the toddler.

According to the mother, one of the passengers was last seen carrying the child as they both ran towards different directions seeking safety.

The father of the 8-month- old says he left Juba in company of a rescue convoy belonging to security forces, upon hearing about the attack.

Emmanuel Tong says when they arrived at the site of the attack, he found his wife alone without the baby.

Tong says he was told by the wife that the passenger who took the baby ran towards Nimule in the midst of the chaos.

Up until this [Friday] morning when Tong spoke to Eye Radio, they still didn’t know the whereabouts of the baby.

Mr. Tong appeals to that particular passenger, police, or those who survived the attack to help his family with any information regarding their 8 month old daughter.
