Construction of new surgical wards has been launched in Morobo County, Central Equatoria State.

The Commissioner of the County, Moses Soro, says each of the 20 wards at the Morobo Hospital will take 20 beds, ten for women and ten for men.

“This will help sustain the people all over the county into the hospital, for at least health service care, which is of course something that is positive to the people of Morobo,” he told Eye Radio.

The wards will be constructed by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Mr Soro says Morobo Hospital has other wards such as the maternity, pediatric and a general wards.

The Morobo Hospital, which was constructed using the Constituency Development Fund and donations from United Nations agencies, was launched in July this year.
