Authorities in Lakes States say a team headed by the deputy Governor is assessing the security situation in Rumbek North County, where gunmen raided cattle yesterday.

They attacked five cattle camps and took several cattle.

“They are going to to assess the situation and to see the needs on the ground and then come and implement those needs, if they can be sent and all this.” Dhieu Wol, the Minister of Information said.

He says the casualty figure has not been established.
