The Minister of Land, Housing, and Urban Development says the ministry is unable to perform its duties due to lack of enough qualified staff.

Alfred Lado Gore says the ministry lacks competent engineers to take up the available jobs.

He said most of the qualified persons have left their jobs at the Ministry due to low payment.

“Some people have decided to go for greener pastures elsewhere; even the undersecretary left,” Mr Lado stressed.

Lado also said he was waiting on the parliament to discuss and pass the land policy, and other policies of the ministry.

He said these policies would help in the survey and demarcation of land.
