Kiir leaves for Malabo

President Salva Kiir left the country this morning to attend the Africa-Arab Summit on trade and investment in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The President is accompanied by senior government officials and representatives of the business community.

The Fourth Africa-Arab summit is organized jointly by the African Union Commission and the League of Arab States.

It focuses on promoting development by strengthening trade, investments, transport, communication and energy among Gulf and African states.

This year’s summit will give special emphasis to political developments, terrorism, Disaster Response Fund and Migration.

President Kiir and his delegation are expected to hold bilateral meetings with Arab League investors in the areas of agricultural development, Food Security, and development financing.

The 4th Africa-Arab summit is expected to contribute to the development of Trade and Investment between the two sides.
