The Minister of information, Michael Makuei Lueth says civil servants have started receiving their salaries, which had been delayed for about a month.
It’s unclear why the pay delayed, but Mr Makuei said the payment process started last week.
“Payment …is a process; it is not done within a day,” he stated. “Salaries have been transferred to accounts of the various institutions and some have started payment.”
A civil servant working in the Ministry of Justice confirmed that they received their salaries.
