Author : | Published: Thursday, September 11, 2014

Heavy rains that caused flooding have destroyed crops in Fashoda, Upper Nile State, the County Commissioner has said.

Commissioner Morris Adiang says farmers in the county expect to have poor harvest this year.

He told Eye Radio that the situation in his county this year is unusual because there have been much rains that destroyed farmlands.

He said cultivated farms have been affected by the floods.

“Parts of the area have been submerged under water and these include cultivated lands or agricultural projects, most of which have been affected by the floods,” said Mr Adiang.
