A high-level briefing on the implementation of Sendai Framework for disaster Risk Reduction was held in Juba Tuesday.

Sendai Framework for disaster risk reduction 2015-2030 was adopted at the United Nations World Conference last year in Sendai Japan.

The Objective of today’s briefing is to discuss the role of each stakeholder in the implementation of the Sendai Framework.

Eugene Owusu, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and UN Humanitarian Coordinator made the following remarks during the event. His speech revolves around the emerging challenges and the role of UNDP in the implementation of the Sendai Framework.
