At least two people have died of gunshot wounds and 14 others critically injured in an attack by gunmen in Bor North County, an official has said.
The Minister of Information, Akech Dengdit, says the attackers stormed three villages on Saturday and burnt down huts.
“There was a heavy attack at a place called Kolmarek, South of Bor North County in Jonglei state. They burned down homes and raided a cattle camp,” he confirmed.
Meanwhile, Bor community’s Paramount Chief Alier Aluong Madit says more than 10 injured people have been taken to Bor hospital.
Two weeks ago, three people were killed and five children abducted by unknown gunmen in Bor North County.
