Amadi closes down schools over insecurity

Some schools have been shut down in Amadi State due to insecurity, the minister of information has said.

Victor Mabruk did not say the number of the schools closed but he said they were closed in Bangolo, Kotobi and Kediba counties.

“They were indefinitely shut down because of a presence rebels in those areas,” Mr Mabruk told Eye Radio.

He told Eye Radio that the state authorities are working to ensure security is improved in these counties for the pupils to resume learning.

Mr Mabruk said approximately 2,000 pupils have been affected by the closure of schools.
