Alfred Taban on Press Freedom day

On the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day today, a veteran South Sudan journalist is urging the government to protect journalists in the country. Alfred Taban said journalist should be free to write informative stories that are balanced and those that promote peace. He said for journalists to conduct their work professionally, the government must accord a good media friendly environment. Mr. Taban called on the Members of Parliament to pass the long awaited media bills into law so that journalists are re-assured of their work.
