Four children who were abducted in Bor County in Jonglei State last month have been found in Kubal village in Pibor, authorities have confirmed.

The children were abducted in an attack on a village in Kolnyang Payam. They will be returned to Bor by forces of David Yau Yau.

The Deputy Chief administrator of Pibor Administrative Area, Joseph Lilimoi, says a committee was sent to the area to identify the children.

He told Eye Radio that two children are still being searched for.

“According to the report we received from the committee, they have identified four of the six [children] and they are still trying to identify other two.”

The Commissioner of Bor County, Mamer Ruk has welcomed the recovery of the children.

He says the children will be reunited with their parents as soon as possible.

“Comrade Yau Yau is trying his best. He told us that the four are ready with them and they were abducted in Kolnyang.”
