Authorities in Kapoeta State have arrested 20 suspects for allegedly looting a humanitarian vehicle along the Kapoeta-Mogos road recently.

Two weeks ago, the WFP lorry taking food to Mogos and Jie areas was stopped by a group of youth who looted food and none food items.

The drivers were also reportedly stripped naked and their belongings taken.

The state minister, Joseph Kabaka, said the 20 youth of Mogos were arrested in connection with the incident.

“They are undergoing investigation because the World Food Program also is very serious about this,” he said.

“This of course may distract the distribution of food to the needy.”

He said the youth will have to face the law.
